Niesenlauf

This staircase, nicknamed “Swiss Pyramid,” is in Mt. Nilsen, Switzerland. According to research, it is considered to be the longest staircase in the world. The 3.4 kilometers staircase goes up the side of the mountain with 11,674 steps, varying from an altitude of 915 meters at the foot of the mountain to over 2,000 meters at the top. Furthermore, the mean slope of the staircase ranges between 55 percent and 65 percent. This is one stair-climbing race that will challenge your muscles to the extreme.

Stadium Stomp MCG

MCG is one of the largest stadiums in the world with a seating capacity of 100,024. This stadium is located in Australia. Climbing up, down, and around the MCG stadium is a challenge that you don’t want to miss. The race is usually categorized as:

  • Junior stomp, which involves 1,900 stairs and participants are children between 5 and 11 years old.
  • A short course, which involves 2,200 steps and participants are people above 12 years old.
  • A full course, which involves 7,600 stairs, and
  • Stomp Unlimited, which consists of climbing as many stairs as you can.

Fitness experts cite that when starting stair climbing, you should begin slowly. Start with ten-minute sessions three times per week, then gradually build up as your endurance improves. Stairway to Heaven

This involves climbing 4,261 steps at a maximum slope of 89 percent and another 780 meters of elevation over 1.3 kilometers. This race will be held on May 23rd, 2020, in San Diego, California. Also, for you to participate in this race, you will require an incredible amount of stamina, force, and speed.

CF Climb Denver

This is a stair-climbing race in Denver, Colorado, that involves climbing 108 floors, which is equivalent to 1,433 steps. The competition not only challenges your body, but it also aims at raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

T2T Tower Climb, New York

This race consists of climbing 104 floors, which is equivalent to 2,226 stairs. The event was last held on May 15th, 2019 in honor of Stephen Siller.
