Saucy Santana, born Rashad Spain, made a name for himself in the entertainment industry long before stepping into the rap spotlight. He started out as a makeup artist for the Miami rap duo City Girls, but his creative journey soon shifted toward music.
In 2019, Santana began rapping and quickly gained attention with viral tracks like “Walk Em Like a Dog” and “Material Gworl” in 2021. His bold personality and unapologetic lyrics earned him a loyal fanbase—and soon, the interest of major record labels.
By 2022, Santana signed with RCA Records, marking a major milestone in his career. At the time, his growing popularity on social media, particularly videos featuring him getting heterosexual men to twerk, attracted industry attention. Label executives likely saw viral potential and commercial promise.

In an interview with Angela Yee, Santana expressed his excitement about the deal, saying:
“I feel like I didn’t have that complete backing with a major label. I put in a lot of work, I worked really hard being an independent artist. But I feel like now, with that major backing, I can clear certain samples, I could get this radio sht going, I can get these bigger artists [to collaborate]. It’s up.”*
Despite the optimism, the partnership didn’t yield the mainstream breakthrough he had hoped for. Over time, it became evident that the “next level” success he anticipated never fully materialized.
Reports now suggest that Saucy Santana is no longer signed with RCA Records, although neither party has publicly confirmed the separation in detail.
