Jeep Grand Cherokee Wins AutoPacific 2013 Best-In-Class Vehicle Satisfaction Award
12 Aug 2013
The automotive research group AutoPacific recently named the Jeep Grand Cherokee as the Best-In-Class Mid-Size SUV in its 17th-annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). This award makes it the third year in a row that the Grand Cherokee has won that award.
The Vehicle Satisfaction Awards put out by AutoPacific measure owner satisfaction with 51 vehicle attributes. These range from interior comfort and convenience to fuel economy and performance. AutoPacific’s VSA have become an industry benchmark for measuring how satisfied an owner is with his/her new vehicle. The results are based on responses from over 52,000 new vehicle owners.
We stopped by our local Jeep showroom, the Crosstown Jeep dealership of NH, and found that the Jeep Grand Cherokee has been redesigned for the 2014 model year, and it sets a new standard for the premium SUV. With a combination of best-in-class fuel economy and driving range, available clean-diesel technology, Jeep’s legendary off-road capability, and a long list of modern user-friendly technology and safety features, it is clear why the Grand Cherokee is a favorite among SUV owners.
To go with improved powertrains, including a brand new EcoDiesel engine, the exterior design has been refined. New signature LED running lamps provide a premium appearance. The cabin of the 2014 Grand Cherokee seems to be without fault –it offers amenities such as Natura leather, exotic open-pore wood and new color offerings. And as always, the Grand Cherokee proves its ‘Jeep-Worthiness’ by offering excellent off-road capability options, including three different 4×4 systems: Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension, Selec-Terrain traction management and an improved crawl ratio of 44.1:1.
